Website for Marelko

Before starting the design and development of the site, we first wanted to understand what we were going to create. We explored this together with Marelko. Through a series of conversations, we gathered insights which our designers translated into a blueprint – a visual outline. No typography, layout or colour yet, but rather: what information goes where? How do we guide the visitor through the ideal customer journey?

At Komma, we make high-quality design accessible. To do so, we’ve developed a method based on modular components. These include all necessary functionality, but are still entirely adaptable by our developers to match the designer’s vision. This allows us to avoid reinventing the wheel each time and increases space for creativity.

Being entrusted with all product photography gave us even more creative freedom. We photographed the lighting products both switched on and off, then layered the images. This creates a striking effect during interaction.
